Welcome event for first-year students 2023-24

On 13/10/2023, a welcome event took place for the first-year students of the Department of Industrial Management and Technology of the academic year 2023-24 [link]. In the context of this event, the Rector of the University of Piraeus, Prof. M. Sfakianakis, the Dean of the School of Shipping and Industry, Prof. A. Pantouvakis and the President of the Department, Prof. D. Emiris addressed a greeting.

The event continued with the presentation of the Department [link] and the Faculty Members, the Study Program [link] and its organization, the website of the Department, and the software provided free of charge to the students as well as the Erasmus and the Internship Program [link]. In addition useful principles and advice on academic behavior were provided [link].

This session was followed by presentations on useful services provided by the University of Piraeus, with respect to the University Library [link], the Liaison Office and the Education & Career Counselor [link], the University Counseling Center [link], the Student Affairs Office and the University’s Communication Office. In this context, the ESTIEM LG Piraeus student association, made up of students of our own Department, briefly presented its activity [link].
