He highlighted the role of project management in translating complex ideas and plans into tangible results, as well as the importance of organisation, collaboration, and decision-making at every stage of a project. He also discussed the knowledge and skills students will develop to plan and deliver projects across a range of professional settings.

Associate Professor Nikolaos Rachaniotis then presented the postgraduate programme in “Logistics”, focusing on the vital role of supply chains in business operations and the wider economy. He discussed the challenges posed by constantly changing markets and the need for effective coordination, flexibility, and resilience. His presentation gave students an initial overview of the programme’s subject areas and the professional fields in which they can apply their knowledge.

Finally, Assistant Professor Vassilis Stavrakas presented the postgraduate programme in “Technoeconomics of Energy and the Environment”, highlighting its interdisciplinary nature and the contribution of technoeconomic analysis to addressing contemporary challenges in energy and environmental policy.

The next part of the event featured parallel sessions introducing the elective courses offered by the three programmes. Students had the opportunity to explore the available courses in greater detail, ask questions, and consider the options that best match their interests and goals.

The evening concluded with a joint dinner in a friendly atmosphere. This offered new students a first opportunity to get to know one another and speak with members of the academic community, beginning to build relationships that will develop throughout their studies.

The Department of “Industrial Management and Technology” and its three postgraduate programmes warmly welcome all new students and wish them a rewarding academic year filled with learning, collaboration, and new experiences!
